NAA & AANC
Your membership in the WAA includes you in our umbrella membership with the National Apartment Association and the Apartment Association of North Carolina. As a member, you are encouraged to participate in all local associate activities.
Monthly Newsletter
Our monthly newsletter keeps you informed of issues and activities. There are articles on educational opportunities, legislative happenings, Associates Council activities, new members, monthly meeting information, Associate news on local, state and national levels, and a calendar of events. Advertising is available for all members.
Monthly Membership Meetings
Monthly meetings are held for all members. Educational, informative and fun programs provide an enjoyable evening with the other members in the industry and the opportunity to meet and share ideas with others with similar professional interests.
Educational Programs  
This nationally approved CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) program, pool maintenance seminars, CPR/First Aid courses are some of the educational opportunities offered to WAA members. Other special seminars to offer our members the opportunity for professional and personal growth will be available to all members throughout the year. WAA also hopes to be able to offer the CAMT (Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician course in the future.
Trade Show
The annual Trade Show is a great opportunity for associate members to gain exposure for the company as well as the products and services they have to offer the membership. The WAA Associates Council is instrumental in planning and carrying out the Trade Show.
Legislation
The WAA takes an active interest in national, state and local government activities. NAA, AANC, and WAA monitor and keep you informed in legislative matters related to the multi-housing industry.
Membership Directory
The annual Membership Directory allows you to know your fellow members and also includes a guide to associate products and services.
Board of Directors
The WAA is a non-profit corporation with the four elected officers and seven appointed directors who meet once a month to plan and carry out the administrative and programming functions of the organization. Officers and the directors serve on a volunteer basis and are elected and appointed from the general membership once a year.
