About your Instructor

Christopher Loebsack is the founder and Managing Partner of the law firm Loebsack & Brownlee, PLLC. Chris is a 1996 graduate of Duke University School of Law (J.D.) and a 1993 graduate of Clemson University (B.S.). Chris spent the first 22 years after law school with the firm of Caudle & Spears, but in June 2019, he left and became an Of Counsel attorney with the firm of Brownlee, Whitlow & Praet.

 

Chris’s legal practice focuses primarily on representing national Multifamily & Single Family Operator property management firms, but he is a Certified Mediator who regularly mediates Landlord-Tenant, General Business, and Construction Litigation cases for other attorneys.

 

In 2009, Chris was named to the North Carolina Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars” list for his Business Litigation work, and in 2011, Chris again made the “Rising Stars” list in the area of Construction Litigation. In 2013, Chris was named a member of North Carolina’s “Legal Elite” by Business North Carolina magazine in the area of Business Litigation. In 2016, Chris was again named to the North Carolina Super Lawyers list in the area of Business Litigation, and in 2017 through 2021, he has been honored to make the list in the area of General Litigation.

 

Finally, Chris volunteers much of his spare time in the service of several non-profit entities. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Apartment Association of North Carolina; was been a member of the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association Board from 2017-2020; is currently the Past-President of the Board of Directors for Charlotte Preparatory School, and has been a member of the Clemson University Humanities Advancement Board (currently serving as the Chair) since 2015. Chris has been a resident of Gastonia and Charlotte since graduating from law school in 1996, and he has two sons, Joseph and Thomas
